Bhubaneswar, Dec 29: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday launched various projects worth Rs 1800 crore in Anugul district.
During his visit to Angul while the Chief Minister while inaugurated 747 projects worth Rs 313 crore laid foundation stone of 795 projects worth Rs1492 crore.
In addition to it the Chief Minister announced to implement two major drinking water project in the district. The state Cabinet has already approved the two projects, he said. People in 48 Panchayats will be benefitted on the implementation of the projects.
Stating that development is the biggest identity of Anugul, the Chief Minister said employment opportunities in the district is rising with the establishment of industries . During the Make in odisha conclave, the state succeeded in attracting Rs 10 lakh core investment to the state, he said.
Patnaik provided an assistance of Rs 242 crore to the members of Mission Shakti in Anugul district. As many as 75,000 women of 7372 Mission Shakti groups of the district would be benefitted by it.
Stating that Mission Shakti is his most favourite programme, Patnaik said , he wanted to see women as entrepreneurs and promised to provide them all assistance ,
The Chief Minister said in next five years Rs 50,000 crore interest free loan would be provided to the members of the Mission Shakti.
Later the Chief Minister launched various developmental projects at Anugul stadium, inaugurated
the MCRL railway line at Anugul loco shed siding and the Anugul-Balaram link goods train, Chief Minister’s office sources here said.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Railways Ashiwini Vaishnaw were along others present.
