Bhubaneswar: A Maoist commander who was carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh on his head was found dead in a forest along Dantewada-Sukma border in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday.
The body was recovered by CRPF and Police team. He was identified as Deva alias Tirri Madkami, who was in hiding for a long time.
While the reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that internal conflicts in the Maoist organisation led to his death. A gun was also seized from near his body.
