Last Date For Registration Of Farmers For Millet Procurement In Odisha Extended January 31, 2023

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has extended the last date for registration of farmers for millet procurement up to January 31, 2023, said an official press release.

Earlier the last date for registration of farmers was December 31, 2022.

Keeping in view the very large number of millet farmers coming for fresh registration of their names, the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department has extended the deadline for online registration of farmers through the M-Pass system, the release said.

The move is aimed at facilitating the registration of more millet farmers.

Registered farmers can sell their millet in the mandis at the minimum support price (MSP) fixed by the government.

Director, of Agriculture & Food Production Prem Chandra Choudhary, has written a letter to the Collectors of 19 districts in this connection, the press release added.
