Bhubaneswar, Apr 9: Following Sulochana Das taking oath as BMC mayor today, Biju Janata Dal candidate Manjulata Kanhar was elected as the Deputy Mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Kanhar, a Corporator from Ward No. 22, was elected unopposed to the prestigious post of the BMC.
After being elected, Kanhar expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik for putting his trust in her.
She said that she will address all the issues of the city and its denizens.
