Bhubaneswar: BJP leader Dillip Kumar Senapati, who was allegedly kidnapped on Monday evening, was rescued by police late in the night.
It was alleged that Dillip was kidnapped from Sanadadar chhak of Jharbandh Block under Padampur assembly constituency.
It has been alleged that, Lanjigarh BJD MLA Pradip Disari and his accomplices have abducted him at gunpoint.
A complaint in this regard had been lodged at Jharbandh Police Station. At around 11 pm, the BJP leader was rescued by the police in a critical condition.
Dillip Kumar Senapati was severely injured on various parts of his body. He has been admitted to Padmapur Medical Centre for treatment.
