Heat Wave Turns To Nightmare In Odisha, Yellow Warning Issued To These 5 Dists
Bhubaneswar, Apr 25: In past 10 years, the heat wave in April this year has been raining blitsters and turned the world upside down for the people of Odisha. Following this Meteorological Centre at Bhubaneswar has issued a yellow warning for heat wave for five districts- Subarnapur, bodh, balangir, khordha, nayagarh on Monday.
Notably, the day temperature in many parts of interior Odisha will remain 3 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal. Earlier on Sunday, as many as 28 places in Odisha recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.
Among these, temperatures above 42 degrees Celsius were recorded in eight cities. Sonepur was the hottest city in the state on Sunday with a temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius followed by Bhubaneswar. Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar witnessed the third-highest temperature in the month of April since 2011 as it recorded a temperature of 43.3 degrees Celsius.
