Ex-Min. Demise: CM Naveen Expresses Grief
Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Minister & 5-time MLA Duryodhan Majhi passed away at his residence on late Monday night, informed his son Krushnasingh Majhi.

ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ରାଜନେତା ତଥା ପୂର୍ବତନ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଦୁର୍ଯ୍ୟୋଧନ ମାଝୀଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ନିଜ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ବିକାଶ ତଥା ଆଦିବାସୀଙ୍କ କଲ୍ୟାଣ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଅବଦାନ ରହିଛି। ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରିବା ସହ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାର ସଦସ୍ୟଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି।

Leaders across party lines of Odisha also expressed condolences for the bereaved family.
As per reports, Majhi was taken to the hospital following illness on Monday night. However, he was declared brought dead at Capital Hospital. His body will be taken to his village today where last rites will be performed.
Majhi was a five time MLA from Khariar Assembly constituency in Nuapada district. He resigned from Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in 2014 and won the 2014 Odisha Legislative Assembly election with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He had successfully contested the State Assembly Polls in 1990 and 1995 as Janata Dal candidate, in 2000 and 2004 as Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate and in 2014 as BJP candidate.
