Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic storm “SITRANG” is very likely to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm today. Continuing to move north-northeastwards, it is very likely to cross Bangladesh coast between Tinkona Island and Sandwip close to Barisal around the early morning of October 25
Under its influence, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, and Cuttack today. Fishermen are advised not to venture into along and off Odisha coast and West-central and North Bay of Bengal till October 25.
