Cyclone May Spare Odisha, Landfall Likely Near West Bengal – Bangladesh Coasts

Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic storm likely to form over westcentral and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal by October 24 may spare Odisha and likely to make landfall near West Bengal – Bangladesh coasts on October 25, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per the weather agency, the Low Pressure Area formed today is very likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a Depression over eastcentral and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal around October 22 and into a deep depression on October 23.
Subsequently, it is very likely to recurve northwards and intensify into a cyclonic storm over westcentral and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal by October 24. Thereafter, it is likely to move gradually north-northeastwards & reach near West Bengal – Bangladesh coasts on October 25 skirting Odisha coast.
