Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic storm is likely to form over West-Central Bay of Bengal, informed the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
As per the IMD, yesterday’s cyclonic circulation lies over north Andaman Sea and neighbourhood and extends upto 5.8 km above mean sea level. Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over southeast and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal around October 20.
It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over Central Bay of Bengal by October 22. It may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over West-Central Bay of Bengal.
