Counting Of Votes For Dhamnagar Bypoll To Begin At 8 AM Tomorrow
Bhubaneswar: The counting of votes for the Dhamnagar assembly bypoll will begin at 8 a.m. in the Sanskruti Bhawan near Bhadrak Collectorate on Sunday, informed Chief Electoral Officer Sushil Kumar Lohani today.
Counting of postal ballots will start at 8 a.m. while the EVM votes counting will begin at 8.30 a.m at 14 tables. A counting supervisor, an assistant, and a micro-observer will be present at each table. There will be counting agents of the candidates at the table.
There will be 18 rounds of counting. After counting, the votes of the VVPAT slips will be compared with that of EVMs. A Central Observor appointed by the Election Commission of India (ECI) will be present in the counting hall to supervise the process.
A three-tier security system has been put in place at the counting centre. The results will be displayed on a large screen at the counting centre for the political agents while the round-wise result will be published on the official website of ECI results.eci.gov.in after every round.
