Bhubaneswar, Apr 27: Post the rumored resignation of the Congress leader of the opposition, Narasingha Mishra, the party faces yet another blow after its Chief whip in the Assembly, MLA from Jeypore, Tara Prasad Bahinipati has expressed the intent to resign from the post of chief whip.
In a letter handed over to the Odisha Congress in-charge, Chella Kumar, Prasad has written that, he “intends” to resign from the post. Although Prasad not made any further elaboration on his intent to resign.
Post the tremor in the party over the appointment of the new PCC president, the subsequent such developments indicate at the internal dissensions within the party.
However, the party leadership has not come out with any remark on the reported intent of Tara Prasad.
