Bhubaneswar: Rajendra Kumar Das, EX-MLA of Biju Janta Dal (BJD) for Dhamnagar Assembly Constituency was expelled from the party by supremo-cum-Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his antiparty activities.
Rajendra Das had filed his nomination papers for the bye-election to the constituency as an independent candidate after BJD announced Abanti Das as its candidate. Das had vented his ire in a letter for being ignored.
