Bargarh Police Registers Murder Case In Four Of Family’s Death

Bhubaneswar: Police have registered a murder case in connection with the death of four members of a family at Jamdola village under Bheden block, informed SP Parmar Smit Parshottamdas on Monday.

Parshottamdas informed that police along with scientific team and dog squad are carrying out the investigation. He said that while the bodies of the mother and daughter were found in the first floor, the bodies of the father and son were found in the ground floor.

Reportedly, police had recovered their bodies on Sunday evening after neighbours noticed smell emanating from their house and reported the matter. The deceased persons are Seshadeb Meher (60), his wife Khireshwari Meher (55), son Arbind Meher (30), and daughter Sibani Meher (22).

While Arbind was found hanging, all others were found lying on the bed with injury marks on their bodies. It is doubted that Arbind murdered his family members and committed suicide.
