Bolangir, Jan 1: Mutton feast of New Year Eve fun goes a serious affair over-night. The spicy delicacy of yester-night curry of theft goats was not yet gone out of his senses but the Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Sindhikela police got his Suspension Letter. 5T whip marks a dark shadow on the CCR of ASI Suman Mallick.
According to reports, ASI Mallick along with some others allegedly stole two goats of one Sankirtana Guru of Sindhikela of Bolangir district. When the locals opposed them, the officials allegedly threatened the villagers and killed the animals.
Seeing the cruelty of the officials, Sankirtana, the goat owner’s family members and the locals gheraoed the Sindhikela police station demanding strict action against the erring officials.
Following this, on the New Year, the Bolangir SP suspended Mallick for the unlawful act.
