New Delhi, Jan 14 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said Uttarakhand will play an important role in the building of “a New India”.

“The way Devbhoomi is progressing on the path of development, it is a testimony that Uttarakhand is going to play an important role in the building of a New India,” Modi said, retweeting a post of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

Dhami, while greeting the people on the occasion of ‘Uttarayani’ festival, urged people to make this a decade of Uttarakhand as per a vision of the Prime Minister.
Assembly elections in Uttarakhand will be held on February 14.
