Union Budget Disappointing: Akhilesh
Lucknow, Feb 1: Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav has termed the Union Budget as disappointing and said that the hopes which the common people, specially farmers, youths and business class had were dashed due to it.
He said that the poor and middle class were facing problems, but the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) had no concern for them. Akhilesh said that the people are facing problems due to inflation, but no relief has been offered in the budget.
“People were hopeful that they will get a rebate in Income Tax and slabs will change, but nothing of that sort happened. The BJP government at the center is only concerned about the big capital houses and all its policies are framed in their interests,” he said.
He said that the BJP government is still keeping the people in the dark by showing them dreams. “An effort has been made to mislead the people in the budget. Why has nothing been said to give a legal shape to MSP. Such claims and promises are being made which can never be fulfilled,” he said.
He said that the budget of the BJP government is only for the assembly election. “This budget is disappointing, directionless and will only fan inflation,” he said.
