Ukraine: 126 Stranded Students Return Home
Mumbai,Mar 4: Under the operation Ganga’ to repatriate Indian students stranded in war-torn Ukraine country, so far 126 students returned home safely, through Maharashtra Sadan. 87 students from Maharashtra arrived in Delhi from Ukraine by seven special flights. These students are being transported home through important airports in the state and so far most of the 78 students have returned to Mumbai.
23 students have returned to Pune, 12 to Nagpur and 7 to Aurangabad. Three students went to Mumbai via Nanded, two students from Hyderabad and one student from Goa reached Maharashtra safely, an official statement said. Maharashtra Sadan Cooperation Room started on February 26 at Indira Gandhi International Airport under the leadership of Sameer Kumar Biswas, Resident Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Maharashtra Sadan. Additional Resident Commissioner of Maharashtra Sadan Dr. Nirupama Dange is in charge of supervising the cell and coordinating with the Central Government, it added.
