Tributes Paid To Manohar Parrikar On His 3rd Death Anniversary
Panaji, March 17: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant along with other prominent leaders paid tributes to former defence minister Manohar Parrikar on his third death anniversary on Thursday.
He garlanded the statue of late Parrikar and paid floral tributes at the Smriti Sthal at Miramar in the city. Besides the Chief Minister others who paid tributes were Panaji MLA Atanasio Monserrate, BJP Goa unit president Sadanand Shet Tanavade, former Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and Parrikar’s son Utpal Parrikar. Speaking to reporters after paying the tributes, Rane said Parrikar was one of the tallest leaders of the country and Goa misses him a lot.
”We miss his capability, governance style and vision. Today the infrastructure in Goa is there because of him. Everything is courtesy to him”, he said.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said Parrikar had always been a source of inspiration and someone whom he could always look up to.

Late Parrikar Ji, was fondly called Bhai in Goa, passed away after battling with cancer in 2019. He was chief minister of the state on 3 occasions and had also served as defence minister of the country.
