Lucknow, Feb 1: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday welcomed the Union Budget and said it will realise the dream of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Adityanath said: “The Union Budget presented today will realise the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat. It is one of hope-aspirations, all inclusive, progressive and will take the country’s economy forward as the world’s biggest economy during pandemic period.”
Minutes after Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget 2022-23 in Parliament, the chief minister said, “For the youths of the country, and naturally youths of UP, the most populous and youngest state, it provides an opportunity to move forward.”
Adityanath hailed programs for women. “It will be helpful in achieving the objective of women empowerment. “I express gratitude towards the Prime Minister and the Union Finance Minister for presenting a progressive budget for every section of the society, specially farmers, women and youths.”
He said the most important provisions made in the budget especially those related to minimum support price will lead to upliftment of the farmers and will double their income. “It will fulfill the target set by the Prime Minister to double the income of the farmers by 2022,” he said.
He thanked the PM and Sitharaman for making provision for 60 lakh youths. He highlighted the 400 Vande Bharat express trains that will help facilitate transportation. “There are several other important provisions like giving interest-free loan to the states for 50 years. Interlinking the rivers will help the Bundelkhand region of UP by connecting Kane and Betwa rivers,” he said.
“Special provisions for road infrastructure, airports, construction of cargos and health infrastructure will take the Indian economy to new heights,” he said.
