Varanasi, Feb 27 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that some people have stooped so low in Indian politics that they wished his death publicly in Kashi. Addressing the ‘Booth Vijay Sammelan’ here, Modi said, “Kashi is said to be imperishable and when the people of Kashi were feeling proud about the Vishwanath Dham project at that time, we also had another experience. We saw that in Indian politics, some people have stooped pretty low.” He said, “Neither I like to personally criticise anyone, nor I want to be criticised. But I felt pleasure, I felt relaxed from heart, when my death was wished publicly in Kashi. They fulfilled my wish. It means that neither the people of Kashi, nor Kashi will leave me till my death.

“These dynastic politicians do know that Banaras is a lively city. This city opened the path of salvation and now the path of development, on which Banaras is moving ahead and will open the path of freedom from poverty and freedom from crime for the country,” he added. The Varanasi MP said that the victory of a party, which has dedicated workers like BJP, is certain. “Your enthusiasm and confidence in Booth Vijay Sammelan shows that we will win every booth and score full marks in the region. Our organisation is a living entity. We are the ones, who consider workers as a family. Dynastic politicians, who consider parties to be their private property, cannot compete with us,” he said.

The PM said that BJP workers work for the country, they work by rising above self. “For all of us, it has been party over a person and nation above the party. We win elections and we win the hearts of the people as well,” he said. He said that hooliganism and mafia were associated with the identity of dynastic politicians, who ran the government earlier. “For BJP, workers are the identity of the party and their identity is the service they provide to people. The Corona period is the latest example,” he said. Modi said that Kashi has been the ancient capital of India’s culture, but the previous governments tried to push the people of Banaras into the pit of troubles by depriving Kashi of development. “Today, with the blessings of Mahadev, Banaras is changing. Kashi Vishwanath Dham stands as a grand tableau of our identity, as per the dignity of Kashi and the country.

After such a long time, the Baba’s Dham and mother Ganga are connected once again,” he said. Referring to the ‘Sewa Hi Sangathan’ campaign carried out by BJP during the Coronavirus period, he said, “I know how each and every worker was involved in serving the people. Our workers took ration and medicines to the people and distributed masks. “This time, I have said from Lal Qila that the benefit of welfare schemes must reach 100 per cent to the beneficiaries. When this will happen, there will be no possibility of appeasement and there will be no discrimination. BJP workers have to play an important role in this,” he added
