Jammu, March 12: Union Home Minister Amit will attend the 83rd CRPF Raising Day to be held at the Maulana Azad Stadium here on March 19. “A splendid parade will be organized in which troops from different sectors of CRPF across India will take part,” a CRPF spokesman said.
He said Amit Shah and Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha will grace the occasion. At the event, Shah will present gallantry medals for exceptional achievement to the CRPF personnel. “In addition, trophies will be given away for outstanding work in different categories,” said the spokesman. The CRPF battles insurgency in the northeast and Naxalites elsewhere besides terrorists in Kashmir. UNI
