New Delhi, Feb 7 : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday accused the Centre for telling lies over the supposed success of the MSME sector. In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi said referring to a news report: “The unease of doing business. The pain of jobless youth and the compulsive lies of Modi Govt.”
The Congress leader quoted the news report as saying: “67 per cent MSME were temporarily shut down, profit dipped for 66 percent FY 21.” MSME Minister Narayan Rane told the Lok Sabha on Thursday that over 50 per cent of the respondent MSMEs witnessed a decline of more than 25 per cent in their revenues during FY21. Rane said around 66 per cent units had reported a decline in profitability.
