“ India is at the crossroad of becoming a great economic superpower rooted in inclusive growth and Niti Ayog can play an important role in facilitating this. We all accept that the State and centre governments are political entities and sometimes there are disputes in the implementation of central schemes” the chief minister said in his speech and added that, “this will promote cooperative federalism and speedy implementation of schemes”.
Making his point clear the CM further said that, Odisha still lacks in the crucial infrastructures in the field of Telecom, Railways and Banking and he laid emphasis on the point that, the Centre should give extra focus in these sectors.
Odisha chief minister reiterates in his deliberation that, ‘Odisha is impacted by natural disasters every year and it is important to have a resilient infrastructure to protect the state and its people from the vagaries of nature’.
He urged the centre to see Odisha become a special focus state and allocate funds for disaster proofing.
Under the Prime Minister Bhima Yojna there are some implementation issues that the Niti Ayog must study to address the issues of farmers, Patnaik said on his speech.
Patnaik also said that, “the role played by our prime minister as the then chief minister of Gujarat including the Rani ka Vav listed in the UNESCO heritage site is praise worthy”.
