New Delhi, Jan 25: President Ram Nath Kovind has approved the conferment of Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards–2021 to 17 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on the occasion of Republic Day-2022.
These awards would be given in appreciation of their outstanding, meritorious act in saving the lives of 170 passengers, when an Air India Flight with 184 passengers and five crew members that arrived from Dubai to Calicut(Kerala) crashed at Calicut Airport on August 7, 2020, a CISF statement said. Jeevan Raksha Padak would be given to the following personel -Jitender Kumar (Inspector), Muralidharan P (Sub-Inspector), Praveen Ashok Pawar (Sub-Inspector), Sanjay S.P (Sub-Inspector), Shubhendu Vikram Singh (Sub-Inspector), Nitin Shah (Assistant. Sub-Inspector), Joshy Joseph (Head Constable), Ajeesh S (Constable), Abhilash K. (Constable), Shinoj C.(Constable), Kumar Byalyal (Constable), Sambath A.(Constable), Alekha Pujhari (Constable), Rijinraj K.(Constable), Ashfaq Mohd (Constable), Sandeep Yadav (Constable) and Pinku Oraon (Constable).
