Investment Won’t Come If Mafia Raj Returns To UP: Shah
Aligarh, Feb 2: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that if mafia raj returns to Uttar Pradesh, then investment would not come to the state. Addressing ‘Prabhavi Matdata Sammelan at Atrauli, Shah said, “Samajwadi Party (SP) can do no good to UP. Defence corridor is being built in Aligarh if SP comes, if mafia raj returns then no investment will come here.”
He said that earlier the law and order situation in UP was such that even the policemen were afraid of the criminals and mafias. “The Yogi government came to power and all the mafias left the state. Now if you search for mafias, you will find them only at three places – either in jail or out of UP or in the list of SP candidates,” he said.
Shah said that the Yogi government brought rule of law back to the state. “The double engine government entirely changed the state in the five years,” he said. He said that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav opposed corona vaccine and used to say that it’s BJP’s vaccine. “He misled the people on vaccines. It is a different thing that out of fear he got himself vaccinated. It is Prime Minister Modi who ensured vaccination of 130 crore people,” he said.
Shah said, “If there had been an SP government, would the poor have got toilets, power, poor women gas cylinders? It was Modi ji who gave cylinders, toilets and electricity. He also gave houses to more than 40 lakh poor in the state. He made arrangement of free treatment of any ailment upto Rs 5 lakh through Ayushman Bharat.” He said that it was the Modi government which repealed Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Shouldn’t Kashmir be a part of the country? Could SP, BSP and Congress could have repealed Article 370? When you made Modi the Prime Minister for the second time, Article 370 was removed from Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019,” he said. Shah said, “Akhilesh opposed repealing of Article 370 in the Parliament and had said that it would be a dangerous decision. He had said that a stream of blood will flow, but I want to say that today no one can dare to even throw a pebble.” He said that earlier terrorists used to cross the border at their own will and behead the soldiers. “The government at that time used to remain mum, but when Pulwama attack took place India carried out surgical strikes and eliminated terrorists on Pakistan’s side. Shah also paid tributes to former UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh and said that he restored the pride of the backward community and even sacrificed the CM post for the sake of Ram temple. He termed Atrauli as the ‘Karmbhoomi’ of Kalyan Singh.
