Indian Students Told To Head To West Ukraine
Kyiv, Feb 28: As a 36-hour curfew lifted in Kyiv, the Indian Embassy in Ukraine on Monday advised Indian students stranded in Ukraine to make their way to the railway station to journey to the western parts of the war-hit country.
“Weekend curfew lifted in Kyiv. All students are advised to make their way to the railway station for onward journey to the western parts,” the Indian embassy tweeted.
“Ukraine Railways is putting special trains for evacuation.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked four Ministers to head to neighbouring countries of Ukraine to oversee the evacuation of the students. Hundreds of students have already returned to India in planes arranged by the Indian government.
