New Delhi, Feb 5: India has recorded 1,27,952 new Covid-19 cases and 1,059 deaths in the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday. According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,20,80,664, while the death toll rose to 5,01,114 as 1,059 succumbed to the virus.
With this, the Daily positivity rate is at 7.98%.
On the other hand, 2,30,814 more people have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 4,02,47,902. The recovery rate stands at 95.64 per cent. The active caseload now stands at 13,31,648, the figures showed. As per the bulletin, 73.79 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. India has administered 168.98 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
