New Delhi, Feb 28: A fifth flight as part of Operation Ganga with 249 Indian nationals, mostly students, evacuated from war-hit Ukraine is headed to India from Bucharest. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said in a tweet that the flight is to land in New Delhi.
“Moving forward in bringing Indians home. “Fifth #OperationGanga flight departs Bucharest for Delhi with 249 Indian nationals.” On Sunday, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla had said at a special briefing that 1,000 Indian nationals have been flown out of Romania and Hungary, and another 1,000 have been evacuated from Ukraine through the land routes.
