February 14 Is A Day Of Unmatched Valor, Not Merely ‘Valentine’s, When A Tempestuous Love Ended At The Gallows

This can be a fabulous but interesting contrast. When on February 14, i.e today the entire world celebrates the Valentine’s Day, what has starkly missing from our memories is, that, on this day something big happened.
What a distinctive stance of events that on this day when the youth rejoice the moments of love and goodwill with their friends, do we remember that, this day deserves moments of silent homage to the great freedom fighters like Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdeb who smilingly got up to the gallows in Lahore to be hanged.
It is not that the coincidence can debar a celebration of a romantic lore and enjoy but, the nation must have a few mentions boldly underlined on the three greats.
It was in Lahore jail, when a pall of gloom descended on the nation with the news about the brave trio were being taken to the gallows.
Time was one of the most nerve shattering for millions of Indians, when on February 14, 1907, the invincible trio were slapped with the shocking pronouncement of hanging.
About 115 years back, when the nation was battling against one of the mighty colonial and imperialistic bunch of invaders, the moments suddenly stopped when Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru mocked the Britishers with their smiles of a would be martyrdom.
Which was a different love affair. That was a tempestuous love affair between the three sons of India and the multitude of people who with moist eyes and a smile of valor had bid an adieu to their heroes.
Since last one week almost, as today, the social media is agog with messages of love and romance but, sadly the SM has hardly any mention of the trio’s tales of valor.
