Entry ban to Sri Jagannath temple during Prez Murmu’s visit

Puri, Nov 5: Devotees will be prohibited from entering the Sri Jagannath temple from 10.30 am on November 10, till President Droupadi Murmu leaves the temple.

As per the president’s visit schedule she will go straight to Sri Mandir from Bhubaneswar airport and arrive at the temple at 12 pm. She will be inside the temple till 1.30 pm.

She will rest in Puri Raj Bhavan before leaving for Bhubaneswar.

As the President has expressed her desire for the famed “mahaprasad”, the administration awaits her plans whether she will take it at Anand Bazar, the mahaprasad consumption place inside the temple complex or at the Raj Bhavan.

Sri Jagannath Temple chief administrator Vir Vikram Yadab on Friday convened a joint meeting of Chhatisha nijog (confederation of all sections of servitor associations of the temple) along with sub committee constituted for rituals and finalised the president’s visit for November 10.
