Did You Hear About Govt’s Rs 1800 Pension Every Month To People Between 18-40 Age Group
New Delhi, May 4: An online form is being circulated on social media. In this form Pradhan Mantri Maandhan Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Maandhan Yojana) has been written about. It has been written in the online form that the central government is giving pension up to Rs 1800 to the person who fills the form. The age limit to take advantage of the scheme has been kept 18-40 years. A link is given to apply. It is advised to fill the online form by clicking on this link.
Government Agency Press Information Bureau (PIB) fact check of this online form (Fact Check) has done. PIB found in its fact check that this online form is completely fake and the government is not giving any such pension. The government says that under the PM Shramyogi Maandhan Yojana, pension is given only to the age group of 18-40 years.
Information about this fake online form has been given on the Twitter handle of PIB Fact Check. It is written in the tweet, on filling an online form, under the Pradhan Mantri Maandhan Yojana, the central government is giving 1800 rupees every month to the people between the age group of 18 to 40 years. This claim is false. This is a pension scheme. Beneficiaries will get pension only after the age of 60 years.

Beware of Phishing Scams
Actually, this online form is part of the same fraud that is being done nowadays through messages and emails. A link has also been given in this fake form and it has been said to apply with the help of the same. Such links are an attempt to steal your personal information and access bank details. This is a complete phishing fraud in which many of your information reaches the fraudsters as soon as you click on the link. Through this link, fraudsters can access your email inbox or internet banking. Later the amount may disappear from your bank account. Phishing fraud has emerged as the most prevalent pattern of cyber crime. The only way to avoid this is not to click on the link. Delete such messages or emails.
The government has clarified that the Pradhan Mantri Shramyogi Maandhan Yojana is a pension scheme in which pension is given only after 60 years. There is no provision to give pension to the people of 18-40 years in this scheme. Pension is not given to this age group under the Maandhan scheme. So, do not fall in the trap of fraud and be careful.
What is PM Shramyogi Maandhan Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Shramyogi Maandhan Yojana is a government scheme that gives social security to the workers, workers of the unorganized sector in old age. This scheme is solely for those people who work in the unorganized sectors and who are not able to take benefits of social security like pension or PF. This scheme provides pension facility to the laborers, street vendors, horsemen and people who earn their livelihood by working hard. To join this scheme, the age limit should be 18-40, but the pension will be given only after 60 years. People whose monthly income is up to Rs 15,000 can join the scheme.
This scheme makes a provision to give pension up to Rs 3000 per month. This is a completely voluntary pension scheme, in which joining or not joining depends on the person. The amount deposited by the person joining the scheme in the account, the same amount is deposited by the Government of India. Pension is given after the age of the account holder reaches 60 years.
