Delhi Police Rising Day: Amit Shah Assures Providing Houses for Delhi Police
New Delhi, Feb 16: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday announced that a project worth Rs 450 crore to provide houses for Delhi Police personnel will start very soon to overcome housing and infrastructure issues. Addressing its personnel and officials on Delhi Police Rising Day here, Shah said several offices and residential buildings will be built for the force. He said a vision will be unveiled for the next five years to fill the gaps in every field including investigation, counter terrorism, narcotics, health and infrastructure. Shah also paid tribute to police personnel who lost died while on duty and while battling Covid-19. “Delhi Police today is a premier police organisation which has the reputation of performing exceptionally under the most adverse circumstances,” he said. “Be it handling of massive law and order issues in the national capital or providing security to the national and international dignitaries or carrying out investigations of complex and sensitive crimes, Delhi Police has always laid down the golden standards for all other police forces of the country to emulate,:” he said.
