Dandi March Anniversary: PM Pays Tribute To Mahatma
New Delhi, March 12: On the 92nd anniversary of Dandi March on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and others who marched to the small Gujarat village to protest British injustice and protect India’s self-esteem before the colonial regime, the the PMO said.
The Prime Minister also shared his speech from 2019, when he had dedicated National Salt Satyagraha Memorial to the nation. In a tweet, the PM said, “Tributes to Gandhiji and all those greats who marched to Dandi in order to protest injustice and protect our nation’s self-esteem.

The Salt March, also known as the Dandi March, was an act of non-violent civil disobedience in colonial India led by Mahatma Gandhi. The Dandi March started on March 12, 1930 and lasted till April 6, 1930. Dandi is a village in the Jalalpore taluka of Navsari district.
It is located on the coast of the Arabian Sea. It got worldwide prominence when the father of the Nation selected it to be the destination for the Salt March. UNI
