Raipur, Feb 3: In a no-holds-barred attack on the ‘saffron camp’ in general and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in particular, erstwhile Congress president Rahul Gandhi alleged on Thursday that the BJP and RSS are dividing the country even as a handful of industrialists close to Mr Modi are prospering at the cost of 40 per cent of the country’s population, which is starving and seeking livelihood.
“The BJP and its ideology are taking our beloved country towards peril. Our nation is akin to a bouquet of diverse tenets but the BJP and the Sangh desire to impose theirs on all states and overshadow the history of India. Even after the Chinese (People’s Liberation) Army entered Ladakh, our Prime Minister claimed that there is no infiltration,” the visiting leader said at the Science College Ground in the Chhattisgarh capital.
Gandhi launched the Rajiv Gandhi Bhomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana and performed bhoomi pujan for the Chhattisgarh Amar Jawan Jyoti.
