694 Karnataka Students Still In Ukraine
Bengaluru, March 3: As many as 694 students from Karnataka are still stranded in Ukraine, according to the Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority (KSMDA).
Since Russia invaded Ukraine, as many as 86 students belonging to Karnataka arrived in eight batches, some of whom landed in Delhi en-route to Bengaluru, Nodal Officer and KSMDA Commissioner Manoj Ranjan said.
Of the 694 students, 427 are residents of Bengaluru alone, he said. Ranjan said the Central and state governments were taking all possible steps to evacuate the stranded Indian nationals safely. As many as 314 families in Karnataka have been reached physically and 425 families have been telephoned till now regarding the status of stranded Indians, Ranjan said.
