US Journos Leave Russia On Their Own Will: Russian Foreign Ministry
Moscow, March 12: American journalists are not being expelled from Russia and leave the country on their own free will, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Saturday.
“We are not kicking anyone out. What can I say about the New York Times, they left on their own,” Ryabkov told Russian broadcaster Channel One. According to the diplomat, the West is preventing alternative opinions on the current situation from entering their information space. “They are cutting off channels, sealing them up to prevent anyone from hearing a point of view that differs from their own. They have convinced themselves that this is the only possible right way. They deprive others of [information] resources and the option to make their own conclusions,” he explained.
