Lithuania And Moldova Declare State Of Emergency Over Ukraine Crisis
Chisinau, Feb 24: Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda on Thursday signed a decree declaring a state of emergency in the country in connection with the situation around Ukraine and asked the parliament to approve it.
Similarly the Moldovan government also announced on Thursday that it will request the country’s parliament to declare state of emergency due to the escalating situation in Ukraine.
Meanwhile France has banned flights over Ukraine and partly in the zone that is in control of Russia’s Rostov-on-Don and Moscow, Minister Delegate for Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebbari said.
Denmark on the other hand decided to shut down its embassy in Kyev for security reasons due to the deteriorating situation, the country’s foreign ministry said.
