India, Nepal Ink 6 MoUs As PM Visits Lumbini
New Delhi, May 16: India and Nepal on Monday six MoUs and agreements during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s bilateral engagements in Lumbini.
The first MoU is between the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Lumbini Buddhist University on the establishment of Dr. Ambedkar Chair for Buddhist Studies. The second one is a MoU between the ICCR and CNAS, Tribhuvan University, on the establishment of ICCR Chair of Indian Studies.
The third one is a MoU between the ICCR and Kathmandu University on the establishment of the ICCR Chair of Indian Studies. The fourth one is a collaboration between Kathmandu University and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M). The fifth one is a Letter of Agreement (LoA) between Kathmandu University and IIT Madras. This is for a Joint degree program at the Master’s level. The sixth is an agreement between SJVN Ltd and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) for development and implementation of Arun 4 Project.
