Heavy Snow In Pakistan kills 21

Islamabad, Jan 8: Twenty-one people were killed in Pakistan’s Murree after the cars in which they were travelling met with accidents due to heavy snowfall and traffic jam, the media reported.

Nine of the dead were children, Dawn reported.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said tourists crowded the hill station in a large numbers for the first time in 15 to 20 years, causing the accidents.

Around 1,000 cars have been stranded on the hill station, the Minister said.
