Woman Police Constable Hangs Herself To Death In Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Apr 17 : Fed up of alleged mental and physical harassment by her husband, a 36-year-old woman police constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her house at Police Line in Kasba Bavada area of the city on Sunday. The deceased woman, Yogini Sukumar Pawar, who was working at police headquarters here and residing at Police Line in Kasba Bavada area, took the extreme step in the afternoon, police said. Upon getting information of the incident, a police team went to the scene and found a suicide note there, stating that she was committing suicide as she was fed up of physical and mental harassment from her husband Sukumar. Further investigation is underway, sources added.
