Five People Died In A Road Accident In Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Mar 1 : During the early hours of Tuesday, five people were killed when their car was hit from behind by a lorry parked on the side of NH 149 near Kantiapasi in the Khammar Police station of Anugul district. According to police sources, two people died at the hospital and three died on the spot. The local people and police rushed the critically injured to Khammar Community Health Centre, but the doctor pronounced them dead. The accident occurred at around 2 AM. Sources said the accident occurred when all the five (said to be supporters of a Sarpanch candidate) were returning from Pallahara to Injidi village after counting votes. The truck was parked on the left side of the road for repairing after it developed a certain technical problem when the car rammed into it. As soon as the police officers reaches the spot, they seized both the vehicles and inquired into the incident.
