Deadly Fire Ants Invade Village Forcing People to Flee Homes

Neither it is a case of any epidemic or wildfire, but in a Odisha village, several families have fled their homes fearing some deadly ants attacking them.

The incidence of the ants’ menace has taken place in Puri district, in Brahman Sahi. So fearsome and venomous are these ants that, the incident has attracted animal scientists to rush to the village to know the mystery behind.

They (ants) have laid siege virtually to a big area, being ubiquitous in houses, walls, trees and everywhere like lanes and in open areas.

About five families of the total twenty six families have already left their homes for safer enclosures and the rest remain in panics.
