Delhi, March 25 : Countering the demand by Opposition leaders in Delhi Assembly about making Vivek Agnohotri-directed ‘The Kashmir Files’ tax-free in the national capital, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday responded by stating that the movie should be put up on Youtube instead. “BJP should ask Vivek Agnihotri to upload it on YouTube and everyone will see it for free,” he said in the State Assembly. This comes a day after BJP MLAs interrupted the ongoing Budget session of the State Assembly on Wednesday and demanded to make the flick tax-free. “Some people have earned crores in the name of Kashmiri Pandits and you have been given the work of just putting up the posters,” Kejriwal said, while addressing the BJP MLAs in the Assembly. The film has been declared tax-free in most BJP-ruled states, including Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, Goa, Haryana, Gujarat and Uttarakhand. The film, which has received unprecedented government backing, is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from the Kashmir valley during the height of militancy. The movie, which had released in theatres on March 11, stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar and others.
