Covid-19: Increasing Concern: M’rashtra Reports 25,425 Fresh Cases, 42 deaths & 72 Omicron Cases In A Single Day

Aurangabad / Mumbai, Jan 27 : Maharashtra on Thursday reported 25,425 new Covid-19 patients and 42 fatalities in a single day, taking the state’s cumulative case tally to 76,30,606 and the toll to 1,42,358, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said. Also, 72 fresh cases of new Omicron variant were spotted in the state today, taking the count of this cases to 2,930.

On the other hand, 36,708 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 71,97,001. The state’s recovery rate improved to 94.32 per cent while the fatality rate slipped to 1.86 per cent. There are now 2,87,397 active cases in the state, added the bulletin.
