Technology has shot us to the orbits almost. Features let us wonder what to go for. Here is one from the Meta’s 3D with cosy ques of combinations for fashion in a way.
After Facebook, Meta started pushing out its new 3D avatar feature globally. With this feature, users can now create a digital version of themselves by using billions of combinations of diverse hairstyles, facial features, and outfits to create their own avatars, just like Snapchat.
This was announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook and comes after several months of testing in the beta phase.
In a blog post, WhatsApp said that users could use personalized avatars as their profile photo or choose from one of 36 custom stickers reflecting different emotions and actions. Avatar stickers on WhatsApp look similar to Snap’s Bitmoji or Apple’s Memoji stickers.
Whatsapp recently said that sending an avatar is a fun way of sharing feelings with family and friends. Also, it is a great way to picture yourself without using your real image.
If you are wondering how to create an avatar on WhatsApp and use it as a profile photo, here’s a step-by-step guide.
(1.) Open ‘Settings’ on WhatsApp and click on ‘Avatar’ at the top.
(2.) Next, tap ‘Create your Avatar’ and follow the instructions to create your digital self.
(3.) Tap ‘Done’ once completed.
(4.) Now, you can use it as your profile photo
(5.) To set a profile photo, again go to ‘Settings’ and tap your name.
(6.) Now, tap the profile photo and choose ‘Use Avatar.’
Please note that the option seems to be available only for the mobile version of WhatsApp.
Congratulations! You’ve made an avatar. But what can you do with it? Well, naturally – you can set it up as your profile picture.
While this function is fun to use, and a nice way of switching things up from the typical selfie shot, it’s also a great way of improving privacy. Most people can easily recognize someone from a photo but from a 3D model of the person. Rather unlikely, incredibly when stylized, as is the case with WhatsApp’s Avatars.
