Pawar warns: Stop the attack within 24 hrs otherwise I will go to Belgaum
Kolhapur, Dec 6 : “Now the time has come to take stand on disputed border issues while trying to give different turn to long pending border issue and should stop attacking within next 24 hours otherwise we will loose our patience and I will go to Belgaum” warned Nationalist Congress party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar.
Talking to reporters in Pune today, Pawar expressed sever protest on today’s attack on state passing trucks at Belgaum-Hirebagwadi toll plaza on Pune-Bangalore national highway, in which incident six state passing struck were damaged in stone-pelting incident by workers if Kannada Rakshan Vedika Sanghatana, said that it was very objectionable which was going on in disputed border area between Maharashtra and Karnataka and now time has come to take firm stand on border issue and warned the Karnataka government if such incident (today’s stone pelting incident) not ended within next 24 hours then he hi self would go to Belgaum to give relief to the peoples of Belgaum.
Pawar said that central government should not take us as onlooker while, both state chief ministers should take the initiative but Karnataka chief minister Basvaraj Bommai talking provocative language on this issue and if the attack is not stopped then the situation would get out of hand.
He said that there was limitation for our patients and ongoing situation was serious one and if any untoward incident occured then Bommai would be responsible for the situation and it was dangerous for country’s unit to raise bitterness between a different speaking language peoples, he cleared.
