Bhubaneswar, Nov 21 : A master plan will be soon prepared for holistic development of two important shakti shrines in Odisha Secretary to Chief Minister and 5T secretary V K Pandian on Monday visited two important Shakti shrines of State- Maa Bhagabati Temple in Banapur and Maa Ugratara Temple in Tangi block in Khordha district on the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Maa Bhagabati is a famous shakti shrine of Odisha believed to be built in the 9th century. Pandian visited the existing facilities at both the sites and oversaw the amenities like yagya mandap, sanctum sanctorum, rosa sala, rest sheds, dining hall, proposed Kalyan mandap and toilet complex. He held discussions with several stakeholders like priests, PRI members, villagers and officers over holistic development of the shrines at both the places. The 5T secretary directed the Khordha Collector to prepare a master plan for holistic development of both the sites after consultation with the stakeholders. The plan, official sources said will be placed before the Chief Minister for final approval.
