Instagram Introduces Candid Stories, ‘Add Yours’ Nominations, Notes and More: Deets inside
In order to make it simpler for users to interact with their friends and followers on the photo and video-sharing platform, Instagram has announced that it is rolling out several new features. These features include Add Yours nominations, Candid Stories, Group Profiles, and Collaborative Collections.
Instagram is rolling out a new feature called Notes. This feature will give people a casual and spontaneous way to express themselves and connect with their friends and followers. The other feature rolling out lets users nominate friends to participate in “Add Yours” on stories, via the new “add your nomination” feature which you can access by tapping the “pass it on” button.
Instagram’s candid stories feature, on the other hand, enables users to take candid photos with the stories camera and share the live activity with their friends and followers. Only people who additionally share their own open narrative will be able to see it. A similar feature that Meta is exploring for Facebook also looks to be influenced by the BeReal app, which is becoming increasingly well-liked worldwide.
Meanwhile, the Meta-owned service has also rolled out a group profiles feature that enables users to create and join a profile to share posts and stories in a dedicated, shared group with their friends. It will only be shared with group members. Moreover, the app is also testing a collaborative collections feature – a new way to connect with friends over their shared interests.
Collaborative Collections, this new feature allows users to connect with friends over shared interests by saving posts to a collaborative collection in a group or one-on-one DMs. These collections can be started or added to by saving a post from the feed or sharing it with a friend via DM and then saving it from there. The feature will be helpful for users who are working on similar or the same projects, be it personal or professional.
