Congress defends Lalan’s “Bahrupiya” remark against PM
Patna, Oct 16 : Congress on Sunday defended “Bahrupiya” (imposter) remark made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi by JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary and in-charge of party affairs of Bihar Bhakt Charan Das told media persons here that Singh had rightly dubbed Prime Minister Modi as “Bahrupiya”. It was well known that Modi changed his appearance during visits to several parts of Bihar and also used jibes with different tone and tenor, he pointed out.
“People are now not taking seriously Prime Minister Modi for his Bahrupiya image”, the Congress leader said. PM was least concerned about real issues of the people like price rise and unemployment, he added.
As it is, JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh had recently called PM Modi, a “Bahrupiya”. He had also posted more than hundred photos of Modi on his Facebook account to prove his allegation. RJD leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav had also defended Lalan Singh for his “Bahrupiya” remark against ModiÂ
